Pair your reMarkable
When you first turn on your reMarkable, you'll find a guided set-up process on your device to help you get started.
During setup, you’re asked to pair your reMarkable with the cloud. This lets you transfer documents and ebooks to your paper tablet. The cloud also gives you access to content from the mobile and desktop apps and functions as a backup if you lose your device. If you already have an account, you can log in at my.remarkable.com.
1. Create a reMarkable account
Go to my.remarkable.com. Click Sign up, enter your email address and create a password. We’ll send you an email as part of the verification process. Check your email inbox and follow the described steps to verify your account.
2. Pair your device
Once you’re logged in, click Pair device. Enter the one-time code shown on your reMarkable. You're connected.

Attach your Marker
To fasten your Marker to your reMarkable, snap it to the top-right edge of your device. You'll see a battery symbol on the display when it's attached correctly.
Download our mobile and desktop apps
Once you’ve set up your paper tablet, download the mobile and desktop apps to use its full capabilities. With the apps, you can view, organize, and import your files no matter where you are. Perfect for writing down ideas on the go. With a Connect subscription, you can also edit your notes in the apps.

Add integrations
Access your documents from file-sharing services directly on your reMarkable by linking your Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive accounts. This lets you browse documents, copy them to your device, or upload new notes directly to your chosen service.
Also, with Send to Slack, you can convert notes and sketches using AI, then move them to Slack to continue your work. Our Send to Slack feature is included with a Connect subscription.
How to add integrations
Go to my.remarkable.com and sign in. Click Integrations in the menu in the upper-left corner. Accept the terms, then click Add next to Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, or OneDrive. Sign in using the password for the email address linked to the account you want to add. If you're setting up Slack, enter the name of your Slack ‘workspace’ (this is where your team shares messages, files, and apps).
Enable security settings
Protect the information on your paper tablet by setting a passcode and adding your contact details.
To set a passcode
On your reMarkable, go to Settings, then tap Security. Toggle the Passcode option on. Enter a code that’s easy for you to remember.
To add your contact information
In the Security menu, toggle Personal information on. Add your name and phone number. This information will be displayed on the sleep screen in case your device is lost.
How to change your Marker tips
For reMarkable Paper Pro or reMarkable Paper Pro Move
1. Pull out the worn tip, using your fingers.
2. Insert the Marker into one of the Marker tip slots in the Marker box.

For reMarkable 2
1. Find the Marker tip card, stored in the lid of the Marker packaging.
2. Remove the used tip by sliding it into the narrow slot at the bottom of the card. If you don't have a Marker tip card, you can use a pair of tweezers to remove the tip.
3. Gently bend the card in the middle to expose and fit a new Marker tip.
