New partner in time

Justin Valois creates timeless ergonomic concepts. And to defy the limits of time is no easy feat. So it’s unsurprising that the interior architect from Quebec, Canada sought the perfect partner to help him achieve this goal. “It came to me on Instagram of course,” he laughs, recounting how he discovered his reMarkable paper tablet and accompanying Marker Plus digital pen.

All talk, zero distraction

“I started looking for a tablet that could streamline my work in the initial phase,” Justin explains. This involves meeting clients, getting to know their vision and taking notes in real-time. Then there’s the task of jotting down measurements while on site, sometimes with a spot of spontaneous sketching. All made possible with a tablet that feels just like paper, and can turn handwritten notes into a digital format—instantly.

Especially helpful, it seems, when “creating inspired and well-thought-out spaces” for his clients. “Being efficient, organized and taking care of precise needs and details are all crucial aspects of our jobs as architects,” adds the founder of interior architect studio Atelier Valois

Wherever you go, I go

Now Justin and his paper tablet are inseparable. “I bring it with me everywhere,” he smiles. “Whether I’m with a supplier or a client, I take it to document my ideas. I like to use the variety of templates on my tablet for sketching.” And just like the finishing touches on a masterpiece, he describes its pièce de résistance.

“Even better, everything can be emailed immediately if necessary. I find myself more organized, because I can review and read a lot of information all in one place.”

Visions turned into timeless spaces—all thanks to his quiet accomplice.
