Welcome to our headquarters, where we’re working on new ways to help you capture, process, and elevate your thoughts.

What’s your favorite place to think?

Maybe it’s your favorite hole-in-the-wall coffee place. That one chair in the nonfiction section of your local library. Your reading nook at home.

Chances are you didn’t say “the office.” We don’t blame you. Many of us who supposedly think for a living spend much of our days sitting at the same desk, staring at the same computer monitor.

Recent office-related discourse suggests that it’s time for a change. All we’ve heard about is how employees are rebelling against return-to-office mandates. How sitting is the new smoking.

We talk a lot about better thinking at reMarkable. How we can help others achieve it, and how we practice it ourselves. Our new headquarters is one way we’re turning words into action.

A campus for better thinking

In February, we moved into a purpose-built campus in Oslo, Norway. It’s full of rooms and zones designed to nurture inspiration, enhance focus, and foster creativity.

There’s a library, a zen garden, and all kinds of spots where you can work uninterrupted, huddle with colleagues, or host a big workshop. There are even special “Rooms to Think” inspired by the virtual spaces with soundtracks and visuals that we introduced in 2022.

These rooms were inspired by where people at reMarkable said they feel they do their best thinking. Now, they can step into a cozy mountain cabin…

…or board a train as it dashes through a wintry landscape.

Most importantly, this campus gathers our nearly 500 employees under one roof. We’ve grown a lot since the launch of reMarkable 2 back in 2020. At the turn of the year, we were scattered across four locations — not ideal conditions for collaboration.

Everyone in one building makes everything better, whether it’s creating and testing new products, sharing creative ways to use reMarkable, or supporting you if you run into an issue with your order or paper tablet.

The campus is an investment in our people. We’re determined to pay it forward to you.
