When innovation met its match
Gore swaps standard tech for a paper-like tool employees love.

Gore
A global innovator in advanced materials, used in everything from medical devices to space exploration, outdoor gear, and cleaner energy.
What’s the problem?
Teams loved their notebooks, but iPads and laptops didn’t feel natural to use. Gore needed to update the way its teams worked without losing the focus and creativity that comes with pen and paper. They also wanted their employees to want to pick it up and make notes with surgical precision.
So the brief was a tool that felt like paper, supported deep work, and met strict security standards.

The devices: reMarkable 2 and reMarkable Paper Pro.
A paper-like writing experience made it easy for notebook lovers to make the switch, they chose to use them. They could review, annotate, and sign PDFs directly on their device. And with no apps or notifications, staying focused on ideas instead of distractions, was simple.
What’s more, for IT, the devices were simple to manage and secure by design. The hardware encryption and passcode protection meant sensitive data stayed safe.
“A digital alternative to paper and notebooks that our employees find intuitive and satisfying to use.”
-Richard Sun, Gore
The results
reMarkable quickly became a favorite across all teams. People enjoyed using it so much, workflows improved, and the shift to paperless meant better security and less waste too.
What’s more, employees started asking for a reMarkable themselves when they saw how much easier their colleagues found their work.
