A few days ago we reached a fantastic new milestone for our company. One million reMarkable paper tablets sold, helping a million people worldwide focus, think, and capture their best ideas.

One million paper tablets is an extraordinary number, a high point we never thought possible when we began on this incredible journey with the launch of reMarkable 1 to customers in 2017. So big in fact, it’s almost hard to imagine.
Billions of blank pages, being filled by so many people with their notes, ideas, plans, stories, and much more — fuelling their imagination by staying focused. It’s a humbling thought, but we would never have made it this far without the continued support and passion of our incredible community of paper people.
Together, you helped support and shape a simple idea — to bring the best qualities of paper into the digital world — and joined us as it became a reality. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of you for choosing to be a part of that success.
Better yet, many of you generously shared your stories with us along the way. From talented architects and engineers, to ambitious students, dedicated planners, writers, and musicians, each using the same innovative notebook.

The reMarkable journey
Our paper tablet started life as an observation: with our pockets and bags bulging with phones and laptops, why do we still return to traditional pen and paper to take notes whenever we need to really focus? Would it be possible to capture the qualities of paper in a way that fits with the modern workflow?
In 2013, that idea became a company, then a philosophy to help people think better, and four years later — a physical product. Today, we sell reMarkable 2 in 40 countries, the hard-working team at our Oslo headquarters has grown to over 300 employees, and we confirmed our status as Norway’s latest unicorn.
While the road here hasn’t always run smooth, everything we’ve learned along the way will inform the next chapter as we expand our products and services.
