Enrollment
What are the subscription fees? Is there a trial period?
We are glad to be offering a 60-day free trial, starting on the date of enrollment of your company. At the end of the 60-day free trial your billing will start with a price of $7.99 per user per month. You will also get the option to switch to an annual plan with a committed number of seats priced at $6.99 per user per month.
While we continue to add features to the enterprise offering, we now offer the ability for your users to sign into their reMarkable account using your enterprise SSO. IT admins will be able to remote wipe devices, enforce passcode lengths and screen lock duration, and to view the device settings of your users.
Your users will get access to all the benefits of our Connect subscription, including unlimited cloud storage and sync, note-taking in the mobile and desktop apps, access to reMarkable Methods and additional features such as Send to Slack (for Slack users). Current users using a consumer subscription will have the ability to transfer to the enterprise subscription and avoid paying the consumer subscription fee.
Can I test Connect for Business with a small group of users before rolling it out to everyone?
Yes, you can invite a small group of users to test before applying our SSO solution company-wide. These users need to be added in your identity provider (IdP) first. The testing phase helps ensure that everything is set up correctly for your company.
What happens to current users?
Existing users (non-business email): No immediate change for these users. The company is responsible for notifying all users about the policy to switch to an enterprise account for work device usage. We can assist in notifying current users identified as working for your company. Due to privacy and GDPR, we cannot disclose this user list to the company.
Existing users (business email): Upon login, these users will be informed about the business subscription. They will have the choice to transition to the business enterprise subscription or switch email to keep a personal account.
New users (business email): Any new accounts created using a business email will be automatically redirected to the SSO.
What information do I need to start the enrollment process?
We recommend that the IT Admin, who will manage the devices, enrolls the company into Connect for Business. You need the following information before your company can be enrolled:
To verify and claim your domain, you need access to your company’s domain name server (DNS) and to add a verification token/code that reMarkable sends to you
You should have the ability to add reMarkable to your IdP (identity provider)
Troubleshooting during Setup
When attempting to access my.remarkable.com via Okta, the initial redirect leads to a "page isn't working" error. A manual refresh of the URL (https://my.remarkable.com/) is then required to access the site, despite being logged in via SSO.
Unfortunately, we don't currently support IdP-initiated login, which is why clicking reMarkable in Okta results in an error. However, we are looking into supporting that in the near future. The reason why it works after manually refreshing is probably because you might be logged in with SSO somewhere else and it automatically updates.
I tried to navigate to my reMarkable account via my Okta dashboard. When I clicked into the search bar and pressed enter the site loaded. But before it was giving me a 405 error.

User enrollment/migration
Is there an automated process for inviting users?
All logins on your domain will be routed to your IdP. To enable SSO login, users must be registered with their email address in your Identity Provider (IdP) and have access to the reMarkable SAML application.
For device management, you have two options:
Invite individual users for testing: This method is best for initial testing. Users need an existing reMarkable account or must create one using an email address on your domain. You can then invite them through the Device Management Portal.
Migrate existing users: This option prompts all existing users within your registered domain to migrate. Refer to the migration phase for more details.
Once your domain is forwarded, invitations are no longer required. All logins from your domain will be routed through your IdP.
Will users still be able to use their old credentials once the migration is done?
No, once the migration is complete and domain forwarding has been activated, users have to log in with single sign-on. Their previous login credentials will no longer work.
What happens to accounts that don't use your domain?
Accounts that aren't registered on your domain won’t be affected by the migration or domain forwarding. These users can keep using their current credentials to log into their private account
What happens to an employee's free access to Connect if they join my subscription?
Employees who already have free access to Connect continue to enjoy this benefit under your organization’s subscription, as the subscription will be covered by your company. If an employee leaves your subscription, free access to Connect is lost.
How can existing users, registered with personal email addresses migrate to the business account?
Users currently registered with personal email addresses need to be notified separately, since their accounts are not part of the company domain you have claimed. They'll have to sign in with their official company email at https://my.remarkable.com, which will automatically create a new enterprise account for them if one doesn't already exist. This only happens if you (the admin) have started the migration or have completed the migration.
After creating the new enterprise account, users can pair their existing device to this account to ensure their company data synchronizes automatically. They'll then be able to easily transfer their files from the personal account to the new enterprise account.
Now that we are enrolled, is there any way to get a list of users that are using a company email address? I would like to find out who the remaining users are so I can include them in the email for setup.
We can confirm the total user count for your company domain but cannot share specific account details due to privacy policies and legal obligations. Individual user agreements are directly with reMarkable, even if a company domain was used for account creation; the business is not part of this contractual relationship. This changes after migration and domain forwarding, enabling SSO and disabling username/password logins. Existing accounts on your domain must then migrate to an enterprise account or change their email.
Device management and features
If a device is linked to an enterprise account, would the end user be able to unlink it without administrator approval?
Currently, users can unlink their devices from enterprise accounts without admin approval. This capability might be available at a later version of the device management solution.
Is there a status page of Connect for Business? I find my device cannot sync from Connect now.
Your admin dashboard allows you to monitor device pairing and view statuses. If you continue to experience pairing problems, please ensure your device firmware is updated, as this is a common cause of such issues. Should the problem persist after updating, please respond to the email with details about the issue.
How to add an additional administrator to access the enterprise settings?
Owners can assign the admin role to other members directly from the Connect for Business admin dashboard. To do this, click the three dots next to the member's name and choose the appropriate role. This action grants them access to enterprise settings, including the ability to invite users.
It's important to note that the invite feature is best suited for initial testing with a small group of users. For onboarding more than 10 users, activating the migration period is recommended. During migration, all existing users with your company's domain email will be prompted to transition to single sign-on, ensuring a smooth shift to their new login method.
Can we disable integrations to e.g. DropBox and Google Drive?
Admins currently do not have the ability to disable integrations such as Dropbox or Google Drive. However, this functionality is planned for a future release.
We have other domains that we would like to manage in our organisation as well, can we do this?
At the moment we are not able to support multiple domains, hence you would need to enroll each domain and manage them separately. Support for multiple domains is planned for a future release.
End-user experience
Why is there a "double login" for users who have migrated to an enterprise account?
Until domain forwarding is enabled, both the old login method (username/password) and new SSO system work simultaneously. This ensures that users who haven’t linked their accounts to the enterprise account yet can still access their regular accounts normally. Once linked, users must go through the double login as a temporary measure. After migration is finalized, SSO replaces username/password login entirely and no double login is needed.
Why do new users that are invited need a special login link before forwarding is enabled?
Until domain forwarding is activated, the regular login page at my.remarkable.com sends users to personal (non-enterprise) accounts by default. Since newly invited users don’t have a personal account, they can’t log in to their enterprise account this way. The unique login link (different from the invitation link) makes sure they go through the SSO login process first, so they can access their enterprise account before domain forwarding is activated.
What happens to my files if I activate my enterprise account?
No changes are made to the content of your files. When you start using your business account, control will be transferred to your employer. Your employer will then have administrative control of your account, and can delete it, which will erase all its files. Your employer won’t be able to see or read your files as long as you are an active user. Your employer will however be able to download your files if your account is deleted, e.g. because you change employer, or your employer decides to terminate the enterprise account.
Can anyone else get access to my documents?
Even though control of the account is transferred to your employer, others will not get access to your documents whilst you have your account. However, your employer will have administrative control of your account, and can delete it, which will erase all its files. Your employer will also be able to download your files if your account is deleted, e.g. because you change employer, or your employer decides to terminate the enterprise account.
What happens to the Terms and Conditions for reMarkable Accounts that I’ve agreed to?
If you activate an enterprise account, the terms you’ve agreed to will end. The contractual relationship will be between reMarkable and your employer.
What does it mean for my employer to have “administrative control” over my files?
If you activate your enterprise account, you can still organize, edit, and move files as you like. Your employer can not see your files or content as long as you are an active user, but since your employer owns the Connect for Business account, they can request deletion of your content and account, e.g. if you are to leave the company. Your employer will be able to download your files if your account is deleted or your employer decides to terminate the enterprise account.
In terms of compliance with privacy and data protection laws, and to the extent the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) applies, this means that your employer will become a controller of processed personal data necessary to provide Connect for Business, and reMarkable will act as a processor. In other words, your employer will be able to determine the purposes and means of the personal data processing. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act at Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq. and its implementing regulations (CCPA) apply, your employer will act as the business and reMarkable as the service provider. Terms such as “process/processing,” “controller,” “processor,” “business,” “service provider,” and “personal data” have the same meaning depending on what law applies.
What happens if I have a free Connect trial?
Your free trial will end but you will keep your access to Connect features since the subscription will be paid by your employer.
I have free access to Connect. What happens if I join the Enterprise subscription?
You’ll still get Connect for free, since the subscription will be paid by your employer. If you leave your employer’s subscription, you’ll lose free access to Connect.
